World Wide Fund for Nature India (WWF-India) is one of the country’s leading environmental conservation organizations, working to protect biodiversity, promote sustainable practices, and raise awareness about the importance of preserving natural ecosystems. Through research, education, and community engagement, WWF-India supports initiatives that help safeguard wildlife and restore ecological balance. As part of the Wings of Change initiative, WWF-India collaborated with Wings of Change to guide the planning and establishment of butterfly gardens across Delhi/NCR, supported plant selection strategies, and contributed expertise toward the development of educational resources such as the citizen science primer and awareness sessions for students and community members.
Khushii is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting underserved communities through initiatives in education, health, and social development. With a strong focus on creating inclusive learning environments, the foundation works closely with children and educators to promote awareness, skill-building, and community engagement. As part of the Wings of Change initiative, Khushii served as a key implementation partner for on-ground outreach. The sessions also involved students in setting up butterfly-friendly spaces within their campuses. Additionally, the City Flyers children’s storybooks were distributed to them to reinforce these concepts in an engaging and accessible format, helping extend conservation awareness beyond the classroom.
Wild Spaces is a UK-based urban biodiversity initiative led by Butterfly Conservation in collaboration with Lancaster City Council and Eden Project Morecambe. Focused on creating butterfly-friendly cities, the project restores urban habitats, trains local communities, and promotes long-term conservation through youth engagement and ecological monitoring. As part of the Wings of Change initiative, Wild Spaces became an international knowledge and outreach partner through collaborative blog contributions, case study development, and shared advocacy for youth-led biodiversity action. This partnership also supports future fundraising and donation efforts toward establishing new butterfly gardens, expanding conservation education, and strengthening global urban habitat restoration initiatives.
Radley College, which also happens to be Wings of Change founder, Viraj’s school, and a key institutional partner in his environmental initiative. Through the school’s support, Viraj successfully established six butterfly gardens across campus, transforming school spaces into thriving biodiversity zones while fostering ecological awareness, conservation education, and long-term sustainability within the student community.
